The traditional Horseshoe tied where the ends meet with string! Just as nice simmered in water till hot and served with English mustard. RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted September 3, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 3, 2021 We gave Sausage a miss as we have Hot Dogs for tea tonight. As we were packing the van to leave we only got one pic of Flying Scotsman. However, the real bonus was seeing A4 Union of South Africa. Did not know it was running today, would have liked a trip behind it. But really pleased to see it. We are now at Hampton Loade on the SVR. Will start a new thread on this once I have some pics.

Steamport Southport
Great day out. Had a full trip behind the 24, two trips on the DMU to Heywood and the trip on FS. We didn't really go mad on the jumping on and off trains as we normally would have done as we had a gent in his eighties with us and it was a long day as our FS trip was the late one. We also didn't want to end up stuck somewhere when we needed to be at Bury for the train. We also popped in to the Transport Museum as above. Made up to see Nipper and the selection of pre-grouping wagons was interesting. I did borrow a digital camera and if I can work out how to work it I might add them at some point. Never used one before believe it or not! Black pudding? One of us bought Black Pudding flavour crisps! Jason
