cypherman Posted September 6, 2021 Share Posted September 6, 2021 (edited) Hi, I personally would swap the Lima motor for a CD motor. Much better and smoother performance than the original one. For cleaning motors and wheels you could try T-Cut with a cotton bud then once cleaned spray them with contact cleaner to remove any residue. andyman7 Posted September 6, 2021 Share Posted September 6, 2021 I have a couple of Lima motor conversions and whilst they do give lower current draw and smoother low speed control I find the original Lima Ringfields great for the grunt work of medium or higher speed haulage, so it is really a matter of preference and intended use.
