Using wash on concrete sleepers

Recommended Posts

This might not be that helpful, as it's not sleepers - but whenever I model concrete / cement I go with Beige, followed by several washes of Earth Brown - Revel Brand Acrylic.  I find that concrete is rarely "grey" once it's a few years old, I would imagine concrete sleepers would perhaps require a more rusty brown finish. IMG_20210909_184717524.jpg.2fb894411f3d62edc27c7f2ad0fa3eb2.jpg

I normally find a mix of brown and grey (or black and white) looks best.  Track is rarely a single colour so a bit of variation looks fine. I have not tried it on concrete sleepers but here is how it looks on my N Gauge wood sleeper.
