Hi everyone I have had a Heljan class 50 for a while I really like Dapol's class 08 I managed to get one cheap from dcc supplies and now I have added sound from legomanbiffo.  I have also picked up a few of Dapol's wagons which are steam age era wagons but my son likes to put toys in while we shunt so it's okay I have ordered the number transfers from railtec   20211006_150406.jpg.150ff19019303b6869ed1a754285e642.jpg

That was my original idea, an 08 and a few wagons…..but bought more and more :nono:

Sounds good, is the 50 sound fitted? The best sound on my three 50’s is the Zimo.

Regards

Julian.

That may be the best 50 sound but CoastalDCC is better :scratchhead:

After a clean of the area, the number transfers went on easy and produced a good finish very simple and easy to use and a very quick job . Question what's the best way of sealing them on ?20211012_142228.jpg.1e6cf59eaaf5542ccfbbd442825ea501.jpg

I always use matt varnish

Thanks Paul do spray on or use a brush ?

If its a loco and its a build then I will spray - rattle can!

if not I may just brush some on to cover the traNSFERS

I have ordered the missing tank vent for the terrier from the excellent Dcc supples and it arrived today so have  glued it in place making the appearance much better here is a photo of the loco . I have also seen on ebay a cab crewe for the loco so ordered one which arrived today its made from a very good  3d printed resin i have started to paint them . Thanks for taking a look .20211027_154218.jpg.e94610d678614d3169c1c32d48fd8da6.jpg1307377680_20211027_1542041.jpg.01b5b05fd1b9f98da22a4f0a794d772b.jpg

A little more work done the crew are installed  and i have used a touch of silver paint to do the edges of the buffers and the buffer shanks

A great little loco to watch shunting the Dapol wagons.

just wondering why you’ve painted the buffers silver? They wouldn’t have been in real life

Museum pieces yes, but as a loco in use, grease dirt and rust is the colour, as long as you’re happy, I just wondered
