Esmedune
Hello one and beautiful all! I want a supply of bolts and spacers for drive shafts/rods. Basically I want to be able to replace screws, but I also want to be stocked for when I buy "fixer-upper" locos on eBay. I see spare kits for individual Hornby locos, and I know I can get very expensive posh ones from wheel kit makers, but I just want some odds and sods to have around. Can anyone point me in a suitable direction? Thank you kindly
Il Grifone
How old are the Hornby locos? Early examples used B.A. threads, Later ones metric. EBay can supply both original and generic replacements. The former tend to be expensive. Edited October 23, 2021 by Il Grifone
33C
I get my metric and BA stuff from South Essex Fasteners. They do nylon equivalents as well! (For those tricky body to chassis short circuits!)
JeffP
"Drive rods"? Or coupling rods?

I don't really like laughing at them and hanging up if their prices are awful. 6 hours ago, JeffP said: "Drive rods"? Or coupling rods? Connecting rod actually ;-)
33C
Go on their web page and email them what your looking for. I walked in and spent £1.28 and they didn't bat an eyelid. Very helpful too regarding the fasteners i needed for a particularly tricky application.
