Does the Sound Fitted Bachmann Baldwin 10-12-D 391-031DS come with a decoder, or do I need to order one separately?

Hello everyone,

 

My first post here, so I hope I have put this in the correct place.

 

I am going to order a Sound Fitted Bachmann Baldwin 009 model (more specifically this one for The Model Centre). Does anyone know whether that comes fitted with a DCC decoder, so I can put it directly onto my DCC layout. Or does it just come fitted with a speaker, and I still need to supply my own decoder? I know this is a very basic question, but after a few hours of googling I have not found anything conclusive on the matter.

I suggest you replace the speaker in the loco as its very poor, almost silent.

Hi Richard. You were correct! Thank you for your input. All tested now and runs fantastically (it arrived with a Zimo decoder just in case you were interested).

This is my first sound fitted loco, so I have no real comparison. On my small layout it seems to sound OK, could be better though. I will look up what is available.
