Hi folks, not sure if this is the right place for this so apologies if not!

My dad spotted a 37 on the back of a lorry going through warkworth village Northumberland today (23/11/21), looked like in rail freight red stripe livery. Any ideas where it was going or coming from?

Thanks.

Apparently the 37 was being transported by lorry to the Strathspey Railway. Due to weight restrictions unable to use the A1 so diverted via Warkworth, where the lorry got stuck negotiating a tight bend in the village centre.

Reported in the Northumberland Gazette.

The "unwanted one"?

It was (along with a number of other loco's) asked to be removed from the Wensleydale Railway at short notice, was loaded up and was on it's way to the Embsay railway when there was a change of plan meaning it was stranded in a layby for a period of time until it went to Allely's yard for storage.
