ESU V4 Micro with DCC Concepts 3 wire Stay Alive.

Sorry to have to ask this again but I have tried and have had absolutely no luck in getting a DCC Concepts stay alive working.

 

I have done the following;

Set CV 315 = 0

Set CV 113 = 254.

 

I get no run-on whatsoever.

 

Is there another CV to set please? Could it possibly by something to do with CV124?

 

Any help most welcome.

Have you set CV 29 to value which turns off running on DC? This would normally be 2.

Which of the numerous CVs 315 did you change?

And why?

Do you know how to use the prefix-CVs for all CVs above CV 255? (These are CV31 & 32).

 

Example:

If your CV 32 had a value of 0, you just disabled Aux 6.

If it had value 1, you just set volume of sound slot 8 to zero.

ESU 5 = CV 133 time to be bridge with PP - 0 = off  

               Set CV 339 or CV323(micro) = 31

Zimo has something similar but will have to look it up in their manual or use DecoderPro to do the settings.

It's V4 and yes, I used CV31=16 & CV32=0 making CV315 =0 turning off Aux 6

 

Does the Stay Alive need Aux6. I found an instruction that AUX6 needed turning off.

Dave,

afaik PP control is not available via Aux on the V4, only on V5.

You have to connect to solder pads, see ESU manual for V4 on website.
