dasatcopthorne
On another group some has been told by a London Tour Guide that the Subway cars, weren't they F and G, were rebuilt into double decker by stacking one on top of another. I've never heard of this. What is the truth please? Dave.
Roger.s
The class F cars (Nos. 552 - 567) and class G cars (Nos. 568 - 601) were all "reconstructed" and became the last batch of class E/1 cars (Nos. 552 - 601). New double deck bodies provided by English Electric Co. Ltd. were put on the old bogies and the existing electrical equipment was reused.
