I shall be there - looking after 'Green Frog Brewery' which is a visitors drive, Kadee operated shunting

layout.

One point of note : This year partially due to Covid making things even more difficult we will not have

refreshments available at the hall. A shame, but I suppose we're lucky to run it at all this year.

Geoff.

Might I suggest that adding the post code of the venue would be a good idea?

right in the middle of a lovely little Dorset town.

Many thanks; that postcode takes you to the Public Hall, not the Town Hall, presumably they are the same place?

Planning to come along, its a LONG time since I attended a show.

Cheers, Dave.

I believe them to be one and the same, the public hall is the HQ of Beaminster town council, 8 Fleet Street. The best place to park in Beaminster is the Yarn Barton car park anyway behind the public (town) hall unless you get lucky and find a place in the square which is (or was) free. However, I’ve not been there post COVID, so parking may not be the issue it was.

Not sure I can make Saturday - will you again be holding the bigger summer one at Colfox later this year, and IIRC you've also done at least one in West Bay,  or will it just be this small one in Beaminster?

It wasn't quite the same without bacon butties. Other than that it was a good day with many

smiling faces, so many getting out to an exhibition the first time for quite a while.

Running a layout kept me busy, but I never felt uncomfortably crowded.

Due to uncertainties, even to the end of December as to being able to run, we didn't do any

advertising until the last week. We also kept layouts as far as possible to club member and

close contacts that would make a last moment cancellation easy.

If you came I hope you enjoyed it, next year back to normal ??????

Really enjoyed my trip to Beaminster yesterday, and was there a long time as I ended up helping operate Axe Valley Mill.

Shame about the refreshments, but that's the situation.  At least we knew in advance.  I brought a flask and sandwiches, and ate them in the market square.

Many thanks for holding the show, and for this announcement on RMweb.  Even though the publicity was all local and last-minute, there seemed to be a good crowd in, particularly during the afternoon.

All the best, Dave.
