RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 26, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 26, 2019 As I have loads of images in store, and still can't work out the You tube thing, here is a bonus shot of a clean B1.

I have some of both, but I think the Hornby one is a bit better, particularly when it comes to haulage power.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 26, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 26, 2019 Another B1 tonight, but in sharp contrast, although numerically close 61207's condition is typical New England. The train is the Doncaster parliamentary, and the loco is from Bachmann this time.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 27, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 27, 2019 What's next? Ah, we have a Skegness excursion. The stock is just approaching the platform, a March K1 having been borrowed to do the job. Another milk churn. Still, the camera never lies, so this one will be despatched too. A close up of the K1 next, as it gets closer to its excited day trippers. Haven't they seen the forecast? 14 degrees, 15mph north easterly wind, and "occasional showers". Fahrenheit in 1958 remember. Anyone who has been to Skeggy with a north easterly blowing will know what this means. The kids will still want to go on the beach though.

Such a nice way to spend a Boxing Day evening. Hope all is well with you Gilbert, and great to see PN still going strong. Cheers Tony Yes thanks Tony, all is well. In fact for some reason I sent a few minutes yesterday going through old excel speadsheets, and they reminded me just how much PN has changed and progressed over the years. The good thing is that most of the changes seem to have had a positive outcome.

And that horrible clingy stuff you had to get through to get to the sea? Which you got out of again pretty quick, as it was b***** cold. 2

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 27, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 27, 2019 Next up, another WD. Something a little different behind the tender, but further back the usual empty minerals. A little further on, things get rather crowded. More coal goes South, 90015 is nearly home, and another B1 will soon be off to Grimsby.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 28, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 28, 2019 Its a good job I took so many pictures on Christmas Day, as we haven't seen daylight since. Same again forecast for today and tomorrow, but at least not as bone chilling as the last two days. More WD action, and B1 inaction. WD safely out of the way, Woolwinder comes into sight at the head of the White Rose. I forgot to do anything about the backscene, experimented unsuccessfully with the paintbrush, and cropped out the worst bits, all of which makes it just about presentable.
