RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted January 2, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted January 2, 2021 The sound of the WD has hardly gone before the signal is pulled off again, and more coal is on the way. This load is only going as far as Little Barford power station though, and as usual New England has borrowed someone else's loco.
RMweb Premium great northern Posted January 2, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 2, 2021 Few candidiates in this poll. Dislike was focussed on just two names, and W P Allen edged it over Bois Roussel by 6 votes to 5. Moving on, it has to be the A2s today. Some very evocative names there, but which was the best of all?
RMweb Premium St Enodoc Posted January 2, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 2, 2021 Blue Peter. I had a silver Blue Peter badge once (probably still have if I only knew where to find it).

RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted January 2, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 2, 2021 Ah, Happy Knight, because I do enjoy a happy night..... It was also the loco bought for me as a retirement present when I left 'real' employment almost 7 years ago, leaving young offenders in my past. Thankfully. 2

No contest then - Wolf of Badenoch. But I think there is an embarrassment of riches in this list which means a lot of deserving names won’t get a look in (Dante, Bronzino, Robert the Bruce etc.). And I’m still waiting for your favourite A1/1 name poll! Andy

2750Papyrus
Wolf of Badenoch is a wonderful name but I cannot support it as a favourite in rebuilt form. So my vote goes for Tudor Minstrel, a melodious sounding name.
