RMweb Gold Market65 Posted December 29, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 29, 2020 Well, for this poll I’m also voting for Flying Fox. Rob.
RMweb Premium thegreenhowards Posted December 29, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 29, 2020 It’s a tough choice this with so many good names. I initially thought, easy, Great Northern. But then I realised you’d ruled that out by stating A3 rather than A1/A3. So it was a really tough choice between Isinglass, Minoru, Blink Bonny and Papyrus. I think I’ll give it to Papyrus by a head.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 29, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 29, 2020 Photos from Spital Bridge always seem to be well received, so I tried some more angles on the approaching A3. It was asking a lot to shoot into a very bright and almost horizontal sun though. More so with the next one. Black and white doesn't really save it. And I'm not sure how I get such strong reflections on this side when the sun is on the other side.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 30, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2020 One last look at Sandwich. This may actually become a good angle when the sun gets higher in the sky again. 19
RMweb Premium great northern Posted December 30, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted December 30, 2020 A very well supported poll, with a lot of different preferences. In the end, a tie between Papyrus and Flying Fox, 4-4. It is hard to find fault with an A3, but I suppose we should look for the worst name in that illustrious class too.

Its a clever name for a filling between two slices of bread, but maybe not appropriate for a very large locomotive. 1
