I am visiting England next week and will be based in Loughborough. Are there any good railway bookshops where I can get Wild Swan publications and other good railway books around Loughborough? I'll be up in Nottingham one day at least. I am particularly after some of the LMS Journal publications.

many thanks

since no-one else has as yet taken the plunge and answered may I offer the following.... with not to much of a journey you can be in Matlock and taking a wander over to the station can find Bill Hudson

or pay a visit to the GCR emporium at the GCR on (surprisingly) Great Central Road.

Stamford is not too far away from Loughborough. Can I suggest a visit to Robert Humm at Stamford station? He has a fantastic selection of books there, you're bound to find something of interest.

Why not come to the Railway Bookshop in Derby - and get a haircut from Chris at the same time :D

If you have to go to Nottingham then GeeDee have a few books - hardly any on web site so best to phone first to see if it's worth a visit - if not then Chris in Derby will probably have what you want.
