Dr Gerbil-Fritters
I still think it would make a good RMWeb day out... what's the station cafe like?
llamafish
Never went in there, but it was full of adverts for Frankfurters! Have used the vending machines though, some rather nice things in them..!
yorkie_pudd
wouldn't have time for the café just a extra large flask of coffee so I could ride a cl90 all day, shunting back and forth in the yard.

motorcycle
I just saw around 9 light-engines moving together in a lokzug Edited August 16, 2013 by motorcycle
yorkie_pudd
Nice catch there Motorcycle and with that many loco`s it should have about 3 mile of rolling stock pulled with it, that would be some sight.
llamafish
Loco convoys like that are very commonplace over there, well when you have a lot of locos, it's easier to move them all together!
Dr Gerbil-Fritters
Correct, Assumption Day. I assumed that was the case.

yorkie_pudd
Very hot in Plattling today - 37C. The shunters seem to have been laid up all weekend. Hi Mike, Depends down too work load but usually finish 6am Saturday mornings but have seen them work till mid / late morning. Then they start back Sunday night`s 10pm UK / 11pm local time. The odd Saturday afternoon you will see 2 shunters arrive and swop 2 around to take for servicing. so weekends are quiet apart from odd freight / special movements like steam rail tours. hope this helps as you never know what may pass/stop Plattling Station.

burgundy
A double length ICE set has just pulled in to the far right hand platform and the customers have all disembarked. Is there something exciting happening in Plattling today? Best wishes Eric

motorcycle
a different Vectron is currently in Plattling and has been there for an hour or so http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201308271156 update: it left in a westbound direction (to the top of the webcam screen) so I couldn't get a good screengrab. It had a Vectron on both ends of the carriages it seems. Edited August 27, 2013 by motorcycle
motorcycle
hooray, I saw another Vectron. I'd never seen one until week ago, and now I've seen 4 different ones and here is a better screengrab of yesterday's Vectrons (they have been back today as well, but never go further East than Plattling. Can't be allowed into Austria?) http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201308271626 and I found a German website forum with discussion of Plattling webcam http://www.1zu160.net/scripte/forum/forum_show.php?id=705957 so I put a message on there and linked to here Edited August 28, 2013 by motorcycle
