trisonic
I can't remember so many Jaguar Mk 8's around those days! My Aunt had one you could barely see her in it. Mini-Marcos in one photo too. Best, Pete.
Shamouti Ben Yafo
I certainly can't argue with that one, it was the scooters that set me to a later date, but then I hadn't realised they started to be manufactured in 1947/8, Lambretta, Vespa, Piaggio, etc, all Italian, ironically the idea came from vehicles dropped in Rome by the British parachuters during the war. So 1958/59 then (I can't concede 100%, it's not in my nature B) ) One type (Seems the best known, possibly the only one in mass production?)was known by the glorious name of "Excelsior Welbike". Quite sought after by military vehicle enthusiasts, I gather.
LaScala
That is priceless! As a pom living in Queensland it 's even more prescient. Not too sure about that "Aussie" accent though..........

Quite sought after by military vehicle enthusiasts, I gather. The 'Exelsior Welbike' was a folding motor scooter designed for use by paratroops in WW2. The first 'civvy' motor scooters arrived in the early fifties.
