Gloucester Road
The van looks good. do they have any late 80s cars on there? I think they do, older volvos, peugots. Lots of stuff in 1.160, but that can be done 1.148, have a poke around on the link above and your bound to find a vehicle that you like.
Gloucester Road
Finished off the Range Rover, the windows were also done with Krystal Klear. Overall I'm very happy with how these are coming out; from normal distance these look really good. cruel close up stephen

Gloucester Road
Im really enjoying these cars. VW polo is finished. Volvo estate wagon in paint shop. 2 BMWs and 2 more volvos awaiting paint. Zoomed in they look a bit rough, but from a normal viewing/operating distance they really look the part. stephen Edited November 15, 2016 by Gloucester Road
Gloucester Road
Flying a King Air means we dont break down very often, however when it does happen hopefully it's in a place you can explore. Such was the case last week we had a huge hydraulic leak in Durango CO. So two days to repair in Durango; what's in Durango but a famous narrow guage railroad. So no car but a 7mile round trip walk to visit the railroad. Trains weren't scheduled for the day I was there but nice to say I've visted. The Durango And Silverton On the layout front Jordan (my youngest) has really taken to operating my old layout. He has been detailing it and adding his own bits and pieces. Its now called "Hills in England, Grayback Railway" stephen
Gloucester Road
This year we were unable to do all of the Tour de Chooch like we did last year, however we did visit three, one of which was the Pepperell Siding Model Railroad Club. Where we all were able to operate some trains http://www.psmrc.org/ Here is Jordan in charge of an EMD sd70 (i think) stephen

Gloucester Road
66610 was seen out today with an unusual wheel arrangement. It had suffered from split gears and is being run to try and determine which is the culprit. It was soon discovered to be the centre wheel gear which has been removed for testing. Gloucester Road
I was getting a bit fed up with chasing the coupler spring around the room, so a dab of glue on both ends of the spring soon took care of the problem. 66610 was them sent to the fueling point to be topped up stephen

Gloucester Road
Jordan (my 10 yr old) had me order 50 1:160 cars for a fiver on the internet and was a little cheesed off by them when they arrived. However I told him with a bit of work you could they could be customized and look good. So yesterday we spray painted a black one in Euro gray and this morning he had put on stripes, lights, and wing mirrors. He has done a really good job stephen
Freight Connection
Very nice Stephen The value bags are handy to fill the gaps between the Shapeways and the Oxfords etc, and like yours are good for altering. I shaved back some of the flash around the door posts on the white ones and put some homemade transfers on and they looked like decent police cars. The roof transfer with the ident number etc even had the blue light bar printed on, rather than with Plasticard. I think? You did some transfers on a delivery van some time ago, it was that van and the N gauge Ring Road layout (bmthtrains) that made me have a go at my own. Thanks for the updates, always interesting.. Gloucester Road
Ok, I need some help. Trying to get markings right for the rail crossing; having looked at internet pictures ive come up with a rough plan. Using the picture below. second crossing will have black covering like the first. yellow x hatches will fit between crossings single solid white lines on left and right of verge. on right as far as entry prior to parking where vw bug is parked double white down the centre white line (left side) prior to rubber covering will be moved back, dashed on the right side, stop will go away flipped for traffic coming towards camera double yellow or red by pavement infront of lorry red crossing with black lights signs 4x. two this side of crossing and two on the other. hope my discription makes sense. Gloucester Road
Milford, Sand and Cement decided that it needed to have the road crossing re done. So steel plate was used and the road ended up being narrowed. with the road narrowed homemade grass strips were then added stephen
