Popular Post tigerburnie
There may be those who have ancestry from the Rift valley or in ponds, indeed there's ample evidence that a large portion of todays society are definitely (quite closely and maybe recently) descended from pondlife, there's a lot single cell Ameba still floating round in the Darwinian waterways. I am however descended from golden God like creatures from another planet...…………………..or at least I think that's SWMBO said...………………………….. Popular Post leopardml2341
Evenin' check in I hope today has been kind to you all, with lots of aspirations, plans and targets being achieved however small or large. Another fine day throwing bone in the garden, together with some of what I wanted to do completed as well. Base is now in place for garden/summer shed/workshop/tr@in place; just need to design and build the structure now. Beer o'clock now, Eagle Brewery Banana Bread Beer - first time trying, and it's odd but not unpleasant. In case I don't get back later, stay safe, sleep well (when the time comes) and be ready to tackle tomorrow.

RMweb Premium Popular Post New Haven Neil Posted May 16, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted May 16, 2020 Evening.4 Spent the morning with Mrs NHN as she traversed the Glen to shoot a new course that has been set out by the person that runs the archery club. Not a place to be on your own and there's no mobile signal down there/ The distances don't look much in the photos but those are in the 40 - 50 metre distance, the longest today was 66, which she didn't think she would be able to do anything with as she only had a 28lb bow today - hit it first shot! 26 targets took an hour and a half, and my foot was in agony at the end despite wearing a support. As for the language of slang or local words - let's not forget I'm a Geordie - it's easy for us to converse in 'English'and no-one to be able to understand us! 20 3 2

The Nelson Riddle orchestra probably was the best backing of recording stars of his day. In fact his 'sound' contributed to their success in no small manner. The rhythmic intros followed by the soaring strings were compatible with everyone from Nat King Cole to Frank Sinatra and all those in between. I still have my collection of LPs, which I am told have the best reproduction and after twenty or thirty years can only agree. Brian. 15 1
RMweb Gold Popular Post tetsudofan Posted May 16, 2020 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted May 16, 2020 Evening all, Came across some pictures of the garden taken at least 10 years ago. Looking at this pic the grass is a rich green and in the foreground looks as though there has been some heavy rain and some strong winds that blew over one of the benches: Looking at a picture I took this afternoon there's been a few changes since the earlier picture was taken... My T shirt from that visit, by coincidence that I put on today. Interesting place AZ, and some if it is quite mountainous. Those who like a drive in the country on two or four wheels might enjoy this: http://azkicker.com/?page_id=176 Lots of biker videos too. I did it Southbound once all the way in a convertible with my brother. After a bit you realize you really are up the creek if you break down. I think we saw two other cars the whole way. There are (were) big signs at the ends warning you they don't plow it if it snows 16

As you say, since the first days of RMweb, ERs has been a friendly, welcoming and supportive place, often laced with a touch of light banter and humour too. Now that you have, for good reason, chosen to ignore one aspect of it I hope that you can come to enjoy and trust it as you once did. May I echo those sentiments? And in doing so I hope I am not the one to have caused any offence. Evening all. A rather unremarkable day has passed and has seen the departure of more of our neighbours. The Hill of Strawberries is far from empty but now has probably more voids (vacant flats) than the landlord might be comfortable with. They can be re-let in due course but right now the market may be slower than usual. SWMBO has "done" her other shoulder for no apparent reason; having a year ago suffered a frozen starboard shoulder which has only partially recovered she now has a frozen port shoulder to go with it and which has caused her a deal of pain and a greater deal of inconvenience on the past 24 hours. The pain will pass; the loss of movement takes many months to return and may never be fully restored. In the meantime I am here to help as required with the fundamental tasks of dressing / undressing when one cannot reach some of the necessary fastenings or locations. Today's pick of albums which have had a profound effect upon me is Jean-Michel Jarre's Destination Docklands live concert. The CD has "cleaned" sound but this clip admits to being poor quality and was filmed on VHS from a local rooftop. Somewhere in all that noise is me - I was there in the cold and the rain to witness, and thoroughly enjoy, two most remarkable evenings. For the last time on this lap of the Sun I am off to bed. Hoping to sleep better than I did last night too. Best wishes to one and all. Stay well. 18
