However what you wrote did remind me of a no trespassing sign that I saw when I was in Texas quite a few years ago. In big red letters it read “trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again!“ Obviously, a quite robust line to take on the matter of trespassing. At Aberporth the worst trespassers were the Russian Spy Trawlers. We had a problem with a prototype Sea Skua missile.. as it headed directly at the trawler ..showers of diesel and the trawler shot off at speed... We also had a problem at Lulworth. Some people had wandered into the range to visit the "lost" village after all it was a Bank Holiday and the Army were on "holiday".. wrong! After being spotted they were slowly on the way out when they were collected and brought to the firing point. The crew then showed them what could happen if a shell hit their camper van (in reality a Chieftain hard target) one of them rushed to find the toilet.. but they said they thought the signs were advisory only.. RMweb Premium Popular Post NGT6 1315 Posted May 31, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted May 31, 2020 Cheers all. Got a slight feeling of déjà-vu right now, which I guess is unsurprising since I got the same shift thrice in a row... 1024 got accepted on 6 May, meaning it’s now got eight years to go till its first full revision. Still got that nice showroom fragrance, too! Generic congrats and commies as appropriate, hopefully more of the former than the latter! Later...

I did try an I-pad but no thanks, its now laying dead in the back of a cupboard. I've noticed that if this computer is getting a bit too warm it starts to slow down so I switch it off for half an hour. I should be getting my other computer back soon but it will be handy to have both computers as this one is more powerful but uses more battery power. Tea is brewing so its be back later. Take a look on ebay for a replacement fan. Got to be worth a punt. Alternatively, try a laptop cooler pad, such as this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooling-HAVIT-Laptop-Cooler-Lighting/dp/B00NNMB3KS - there a several makes, styles, prices... 10 3 1

brianusa
Amongst all the Covid, Donald Trump and race riots, some happy news from the good ole US of A; The Wonderland Express Train is back just in time for Christmas, at only $144.99 plus another $20 shipping, In this era of Prime shipping, thats a bit of an insult to add to the injurious price charged for this injurious object! And don't forget, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity though, which must mean its very valuable. 1 14

You can't shop too early for....A bit of extreme weathering and it will be perfect. Seriously though I would probably have loved it about sixty years ago. And Tri-ang trains got me interested in electricity which got me into electronics etc. etc. I wish my grandchildren were interested in trains but they are completely addicted to games on tablet computers. 15

RMweb Premium Popular Post BSW01 Posted May 31, 2020 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) Good evening everyone Another day spent outside in the sunshine, but more progress has been made on the arbour. All the blue paint has now been applied and a start has been made on the white. So far, all the decorative pieces have had one coat of white on one side, once the first side has had a second coat, I turn everything over and start again. I managed to get one of the trellis pieces done, but it was a right sh!t to do, I’ve wrecked one paint brush in the process. So the next one I do I’m going to spray a coat of primer on to first and then just paint over it with the finishing coat. Painting a trellis [*] is like painting model rail sides and chairs - it destroys brushes. [*] I have pair of metal gates to do soon. Another one of those painting jobs that is more "dabbing" than proper brush strokes. 1

Three of our four have at least a passing interest in trains. I spent an hour or so this morning with a grandson on our knees on a wooden floor building and playing with a wooden train set. I'm sure the pains will go away soon. Edited June 1, 2020 by pH 10

There is, of course, a Wikipedia page. It has a 19th century sensibility. An outrageous lie, or Herr Goebbels' (attributed) "Big lie" (große Lüge) are relevant interpretations.
