RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted October 6, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2010 I make no apologies for liking the railways around Wigan, specifically "The Lancashire Triangle", with evocative names such as Fir Tree House Junction, Roundhouse Sidings, Haigh Junction who wouldn't ? so I am pleased to see another book on the area, written by Dennis Sweeney, a known expert on the area. The Lancashire Union Railway (incudes L&Y joint lines), Dennis Sweeney, Triangle Publications, ISBN 978-09550030-42, £25.00 cover price, available a bit cheaper at some retailers.
