Following on from my reply of yesterday, some photos of the valve gear, all the photos are scans of 6X4 prints so the quality may not be so good.

First the main bits of the valve gear.post-8920-037893900 1286867207_thumb.jpg

The four big bits, ie. valves and slide bars, eccentrics and crank axle and piston rods and con. rods.post-8920-003499600 1286867453_thumb.jpg

Same as above but more from the side.post-8920-036681800 1286867538_thumb.jpg

Down to two bits now.post-8920-043153700 1286867619_thumb.jpg

Frames and motion from above.post-8920-086139600 1286867685_thumb.jpg

Frames etc. from below with part of the G/A drawing in the background.post-8920-007156000 1286867773_thumb.jpg

A short note on G/A drawings from the N.R.M. all the drawings are Crown copyright, but you can make copies for your OWN use, so you dont get cr4p all over your nice new drawings. You will have to work out the scale of the drawings as they dont come to any one scale, so two drawing of the same loco eg. side and plan one scale and front rear and sections another scale.

One that I am still building.post-8920-032976000 1286868254_thumb.jpg

A handsome model of a handsome prototype! I would love to build one in 4mm ( though NOT with the inside gear! ;) )

The first loco that I scratch built was a F.R. Baltic in 4mm, the second loco that I scratch built was a F.R. Baltic in 7mm, come to think of it the F.R. Baltic in 7mm was only my third loco in 7mm.

No I didn't fit the valve gear to the 4mm one before anyone asks. I may be mad, but not that mad just yet.

Must go the men in white coats are here for me.
