trisonic
Thanks, Jack, I was looking for info on Foam Board Buildings (also useful for Adobe type structures). The guys that run that site appear to be local to me - when I get the chance I'll investigate further. Best, Pete.
shortliner
I don't know if Ken is still about - the site hasn't been updated for a while - but I'll be interested to hear.
shortliner
Pete - somewhere, a long time back (possibly on the On30 Conspiracy site, there were photos of a Mexican NG railway model with a village market and superb models of a chilli stall - I can't find it but this might possibly have some models of adobe buildings, if you want to try for a back-number http://grw.trains.co...n%20layout.aspx and came across this if you need some inspiration - not sure how 15mm wargame stuff compares to HO etc http://balagan.org.u...dings_adobe.htm http://www.bnsf.it/
trisonic
Cool, Jack! Some kind soul once gave me a link to a "This Old House" site which gave the rough dimensions and internal structure of adobe buildings - for instance I can tell you that adobe walls are almost all exactly 10" thick! They are still making them. When I was in Santa Fe in 2008 there was new adobe construction going on (not including the multi-story parking lot downtown, which actually looked pretty cool). Best, Pete.
