Hartfield TMD (Postponed to the New Year)

Afternoon All,

 

This is going to be my first layout in about a year or so, quite sad really. Anyway this layout is going to be named 'Greenfield TMD' (Not related to the real place). It is going to be set in the 1990s to present day with a variety of stock. I hope to make this a exhibition layout and it will be a end to end layout controlled by both dc and dcc. I came up with the idea from the TMD near Crewe Station as i see all the stock running through my local station, hartford, on the way to the depot up there. I shall post a track plan and so progress photos later, thank god for school holidays

Here is the proposed trackplan

The backline is the Fueling and Stabling Area

The 2 lines below it are the Depot

Below the depot is the headshunt for the sidings on board 2 and the line at the front of board 2 is a station

I dont know whether to move the station back or keep it where it is. Also should i make some sidings longer?

Thanks for the encouragement guys, however my parents dont want me to start this layout until the new year!, however i am going to think about a smaller/simplier project to be cracking on with which i can hide B)
