Looks like it gained it sometime in August, I'm guessing in Barassie yard.

I therefore plead not guilty M'lud. I haven't been to Scotland since February 2020....

A few from the other week taken at Eastleigh. Sadly I have left it a bit late and my usual source of train identification (RTT) is no longer available for this date, so there is an element of 'educated guesswork' with the services themselves.

70019 on a southbound (05:36 Garston FLT - Southampton MCT?) service. This picture was taken at about midday. Amazingly, I think this is the first picture I have taken of a Freightliner class 70!

70002 powers away from its crew stop at Eastleigh station with I believe the 12:56 Southampton MCT - Trafford Park FLT service. Picture taken at about 13:30.

Colas 70815 awaits its timetabled departure.

70808 basks in the afternoon sun.

All pictures taken on 3rd September.

Quite possibly. There were quite a few people there because of the GBRf railtour. I hadn't been there for a good few years, and it was nice to see the place was still busy; even if the 33s, 37, 47s and 60s were now gone.

An unidentified Colas Rail class 70 crossing the River Dee at Ferryhill in Aberdeen this morning. Workington to Waterloo Quay tanker train.

The first time I've managed to catch a Class 70 at this location. A slightly more sophisticated camera might have helped, a pity about the awkwardly placed lampost...

Thanks

Ken

I think 008 was the first one I drove after being passed out on them - it was as rough as a bear's aaaarse, even on the smoothest bit of P/Way!

It also blocked the Main and Platform 2 for about 20 minutes at Eastleigh. The driver got out and went I think, even a Voyager had to come down the slow and run around Platform 3 and back out to the fast south of the Station.

In weak and watery November sun, 70010 on today's Dewsbury-Hope cement empties passes the site of Rotherham Road (between Rotherham Central and Rotherham Parkgate tram stop). Pleasingly, the PCA wagons included number 11111.

The deep water warning refers to the drainage ditch in the foreground of the first photo. This runs under the railway near the bridge in the left background. It has been known to flood the line, which is why the equipment boxes visible just to the left of the sign are raised up.

Through the rain on 1st December 2021, Freightliner 70007 together with 66561 and 66553 pass Deighton working one of the regular light engine movements across the Pennines - 0M22 Leeds Balm Road to Crewe Basford Hall.
