Class 70 training has started this week so hopefully they wont be far off coming off the docks or indeed 70801 being released into traffic, at least we now have a few more people who can drive them now

If they come off the docks soon it wont be me doing it as i'm annual leave next week!!

70801 on the move from Cardiff to Eastleigh today yesterday in preparation for driver training

Gen lists indicate that it'll be finally running out on the main line under it's own power next week.

Cheers,

Mick

A post on the Liverpool-Rail Yahoo group suggests that the 3 at Seaforth will be lifted to rail on Monday. Still no word on any forward movement.

Another group reports possible movement on Wednesday under their own power!

Cheers,

Mick

Having passed by the docks on my way home at 17:00 I could see that the 3 locos have been moved. I could not see if they were on the rails but the engine room hoods/ doors were open and being worked on. One loco had been moved closer to the rail entrance to the container base making it easier to view from the public highway. cheers

At 16.00 the two 56s, 56113 and 56094 were waiting on a middle road at Bristol Temple Meads with no sign of 70801. I had just gone past Bristol Barton hill depot and there was no sign of it there either.

Keith.

My understanding is that 70801 today did

Eastleigh - Westbury with 56302

Westbury - Barton Hill with 56113 and 56094

Barton Hill - Eastleigh solo before working Eastleigh - Westbury engineers

56113 and 56094 left Barton Hill for South Wales
