Kits from Somerset
Ha! I've just looked who's lurking around the topic and ready to read the first clue. 19.01 and no clue.
Andy Y
19.01 and no clue. I think the honourable gentleman from Zummerset will find a post bang on 19.00 containing said clue.
buffalo
19.01 and no clue. 19:08 and I haven't got a clue
Flood
19:08 and I haven't got a clue You and me both. I thought I'd make a real effort this year even though the prize is nothing to do with what I model. Perhaps the fact that I think mathematically is working against me but whatever the reason I think I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow to understand the question - let alone find the answer. Andy Y
Perhaps the fact that I think mathematically is working against me It will do; it's not a maths question.

Andy Y
I've now realised there could be two correct answers so I will accept either as being correct. First place has just gone.

Coombe Barton
Following instruction from Andy Y The original about maths is on my office door - unfortunately only about half the students get it. P.S.I aslo like http://xkcd.com/74/
Pinkmouse
Hmm, I was labouring under the misapprehension that it was a railway themed question.
Andy Y
The answer is railway related Al; don't be misled that John's answer was accepted.
Andy Y
Just to let you know that 3rd spot and the final point is still up for grabs; some folk had unfortunately got the wrong station on the right line so I know they'd at least worked out the clues. RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted December 25, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 25, 2010 Can't think how knowing about UK stations has anything to do with Model railways..... ( = haven't got any ideas at all... are there any stations Under the Sea ?)
Andy Y
Rightho, Moving onto Day 2 First of all congratulations to dave47549 and swampy for taking 1st and 2nd spots on Day 1, sadly there was no 3rd spot althought quite a few people worked out the rationale. Day 1 Answer If you travel from A to B under the C (sea) and arrive at a UK destination (assuming you go to the end point) you'll be at St Pancras International, or as correctly proposed, Folkestone Terminal. OK, you can stop groaning now! It's worth clarifying at this point that there isn't a direct service between one day and the next. Day 2 Clue - hopefully a little easier!
