Got home about an hour ago, after what seemed to be a manic 6 hours, organising the set up of the exhibition. Just about everyone arrived apart from a couple of stragglers that are coming first thing tomorrow.

So if you are at loose end tomorrow come and see the 'Largest Exhibtion in the North East' you won't be disappointed.

Excellent day out. Far better than the Newcastle show (lots of quality layouts as opposed to just 1 or 2 (my opinion)). Good venue, well run, could of done with a bit more parking. Lots of decent traders as well.

I prefer diesel/modern image layouts and I was not dissapointed with Anderstaff, Thorne Yard and Grange over Sands present. But some of the steam stuff was sublime. E.G. Windrush with its lovely landscape and trees (not to mention the garage tucked away at the top). Vine Street was a joy to watch and it was good to see Borchester.

Also good to catch up with a few RMwebbers.

Here's a few images. Video to follow.

I'd agree, for my modelling interests the Blyth show was better than the Newcastle one. Thorne Yard and Grange-over-Sands were personal highlights. I think it's the first time I've ever stopped to properly watch an N-gauge layout. Bumped into a few RMWebbers around the place too, especially Dave of Thorne Yard.

All in all I think I'll likely go to Blyth next year and maybe miss Newcastle. If only I could make it to Darlington rolleyes.gif

I recognise the lad on stand 17, he was at the Taunton SWAG do earlier this year, very welcome and good company the previous evening too in the pub. He had made a very long journey to see CK's crew.

No I don't know his name, faces I'm alright with (even the tops of their heads  ), but names :(
