Southernman46
Gents, I'm after any views of the Down yard at London end of Winchester station between 1950 & 1970 just showing the general layout of the sidings / buildings in the yard. I have copies of the 1:1250 OS maps showing the track / building positions and the "Mitchell" book (which concentrates on the Up yard) - would just like some photographic evidence of the down yard to add to it. Many thanks, SM46
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted January 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 2, 2011 Diesels and electrics on shed, vol 5 Southern region, Rex Kennedy/OPC, 1984. There is a picture of D2085 in the "engine shed", taken in 1967, which shows a little of the track layout.
