Rumblestripe Posted November 12, 2009 Share Posted November 12, 2009 Just a heads up for anyone wanting a precision measuring gizmo it's worth a quick look in your local Aldi. They have reduced the remaining stocks of their Digital Callipers from ??9.99 (which was cheap anyway) to a very pocket friendly ??6.99. I've bought one and it feels a decent quality, the moving parts moving smoothly and precisely, as with all digital callipers you can't rely on it for precision beyond about 0.1mm but very handy and easy to use. It comes in a decent quality plastic case with a battery already fitted (and insulated from accidental discharge), a spare battery, you can switch to imperial measurements if you prefer and zero the readout at any point of movement. As this is an in store reduction then I can't guarantee that your store will have them (there were a couple left in my local store - Darlington) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
