pitbull1845
Hi, Apologies if this has appeared before but for those who don't know about it, here is a link to a site where you can print out 20 ft containers. http://homepage3.nifty.com/container/contents-E.htm All I did was go to Contents 1 and click on the 20 ft Dry container, this takes you to a few pages of side views of containers. Print and cut out and you're almost there. I stuck mine to some foamboard and hey presto a low relief container stack.. The 20' containers are the same size as the Bachmann inter-modal style ones. The 40' containers are smaller than the Bachmann 40' ones for info. Heres my attempt, obviously its not quite finished as the edges of the foam board need sorting and tidying up but you get the idea. Hope you get some use out of it. Many thanks Scott
Beacon
Very useful thanks for sharing. You and others may also find this link interesting. There seem to be some missing/broken links at the moment but you can print nets of containers (40ft and 20ft) which are really quite good. Are you using yours for a container themed layout or are they just forming a backscene?
pitbull1845
Another good link, thanks Peter.. At the moment I am only using them as part of the backscene, although I want to do a Freightliner style plank at some point.. But I have lots to do on my main layout first. 66C
These photographs are very useful for enhancing the Knightwing containers - here's one I did earlier. This is a 20ft example but the same can be done with the 40ft containers. Regards
