Beresford Junction
Well you seem to be making another big jump forward on the scenery, I bet that paving took hours! Fortunately Paul it was mainly one I'd prepared previously, but it did take a few hours from memory. I've decoded I didn't like the finish of the sloping bit (whatever that is called - if it has a name), so ripped it up and am going to replace with tarmac. Why is it I can never get things finished! Beresford Junction
And my 7 year old son yesterday told me that the layout needs to a bit less trainy - we need more houses for the little people to live in - else they'll have to sleep on the trains overnight. So I better start ripping up the track :-
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted October 2, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 2, 2017 Or build a village on a tea trolley and you can move it around to serve both ends of the line!
Beresford Junction
Ramp Oh yes that's the word I was after..... More good news - I've finally sourced a GWR buffet car for less than £ exorbitant - the bad news it's in green so I'm going to have to purchase a few more And the more I look at it, I need to add a few more sets of invisible thread to the fence - so no-one but me can see them. Assuming Poppy the cat doesn't destroy them that is. Phil

I know you can hardly see it, but I'm thinking if I have a spare hour I might put some more wires in. Phil

Beresford Junction
Any new updates Phil my mate Thanks for asking. Progress should re-start in a week or so - I've been away travelling for most of the last month, but once I get back this weekend I'm in the UK until the new year. Beresford Junction
Evening all - I bet you'd all forgotten I was still on here. Well good news - a bit of 'working from home' today allowed me to do some jobs I'd been meaning to do for a while. First - finishing off the hidden end of the long shed. This is before - a bit draughty and this is after...all of two minutes to do, and still needs painting. Next, I've decided to make what was a a little siding platform into a pretend through line, which meant I needed to extend the platfom. This is before... A bit of random wood and the edging and a hammer to hold it to dry. And the overall shot - with hammer still in place for extra effect. Beresford Junction
A bit more working from home today means I have painted the shed end and added some fencing and done the ramp on the platform..... I'll wait for it to dry then get onto the ballasting - hopefully tomorrow. Phil

Beresford Junction
Hmmm lots of working from home??? Gardening leave or just packing for another trip? Might be the former, but it's too cold to be in the garden right now. Still I've got till August.
Beresford Junction
Today has been mainly messing about with glue. First ballast added to the adjusted track and second, sticking the brick onto the wall - the pegs are to hold the pillars that cover the joins. (with the help of Poppy in the background). Beresford Junction
What else is there to do on a cold wet afternoon than do some photo effects on the new addition to the fleet 47346 in Dutch livery - with sound.... Phil 11
