jonathan452
I noticed that the previously shown illustration has now been removed from the Bachmann (Farish) Website. Can someone please advise if 90046 is one of those which has recieved the 'Powerhaul' repaint? If so this may lend itself to the possibility of a last minute change from the original green livery to the above. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions. Clay Country
I expect the only people who can answer this are Bachmann - have you tried contacting them? Perhaps they are planning to pull it and put the new-liveried model in the new catalogue.
RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted March 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 2, 2011 I'm sure all will be revealed this weekend when the 2011 range is announced. It certainly wouldn't surprise me...
Steadfast
90046 is still in the original green. As far as I'm aware, the 90s and 86s to get Powerhaul have been triple grey ones cheers jo
alibuchan
hi, its 90045 that is in powerhaul livery. 90046 is in the 66 style livery. although I hope that they announce it as it would save me repainting mine. Alistair
RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted March 8, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 8, 2011 The is an updated picture on the Bachmann website, showing the model to be 90046 in standard Freightliner Green. Looks good, apart from the bogie mounted bufferbeams and skirts.
jonathan452
Apparently it is now on the 'slow boat' from China and due to hit the shops soon. Despite the previously mentioned shortcomings I cant wait. Maybe I will take the plunge and switch to 'N' scale.
RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted September 8, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 8, 2011 The GF 90 does polish up nicely with a little work around the bufferbeam skirts. I've fitted the skirt at one end to the body and added some pipes and a buffing plate - makes a big difference. Dapol's new high-speed pantograph is also a worthwhile addition.
