Jol Wilkinson
I have a Tamiya scriber model 74015 scriber , that is very similar. Still listed on Amazon and some other sites. A new version (#74091) can be found by searching for Tamiya Plastic Scriber.
Pebbles
I have a suitably ground Stanley Knife blade, or for thicker metal a ground heavy duty hacksaw blade.

RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 9, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 9, 2019 The Tender frames are now attached as are the curved tops to the tank. The boiler, cab and footplate are now one and some steps have been fettled up and fitted. 16
KeithHC
Excuse my ignorance but what is that track the model is sat on early 3rd rail or did Brunnel get up to the North East to get one over on the Stephensons. Keith

Keith Combined with the far EM rail in makes 32mm, not enough room for a length of O gauge track on the plank.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 11, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 11, 2019 Tonight I've fitted the reversing rod between the cab and the front (yes, front) of the middle splasher and the cab beading, one of the more fiddly jobs. The rear splashers inside the cab have been made and fitted and a floor around the nut. Looks messy here but not too bad really. 23
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 15, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 15, 2019 Bit more done tonight, the tender tank now has a top and the loco has sandboxes. 23
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 22, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 22, 2019 Lots of holes holes drilled and the first of the handrails fitted along with the clack valves. Further handrails will have to wait until more short ones arrive, I had only enough to do the smokebox. 23
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 23, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 23, 2019 Been concentrating on the tender today, coal rails (spares from my J24 cut down), lamp irons, rear handrail and brake standard. Front steps are done with the rear ones next. 19
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted June 29, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 29, 2019 A little progress tonight, the handrail knobs arrived so the rest of the handrails have been fitted and I've made a start on the rear tender steps but there's not really a lot worth photographing. 3
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted June 30, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 30, 2019 Really starting to look the part now, although the only w/m castings attached are the springs. Whistles and Westinghouse pipe fitted to the loco, brakes to the chassis and springs, axleboxes and Westinghouse pipe to the tender. Springs and axleboxes still need to be detailed on the other side then it's the Westinghouse pump and all it's pipework. 23 1

RMweb Premium 30368 Posted July 1, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 1, 2019 Really good modelling and a very distinctive design. Alan Gibson wheels used? I really liked Rubbish Seaside too, Whitby's not that bad most of the time is it! Kind regards, Richard B

I've seen that photo and it was on the short list, I was swayed to 1333 as it had 2 coal rails and I had some spares from the J24 kit, 392 would have been easier in that it has separate boiler/smokebox handrails and no rear tender steps. 1 hour ago, 30368 said: Really good modelling and a very distinctive design. RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted July 2, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 2, 2019 Most of the bits and pieces are now attached to the tender and tonight I've made up the dragbeam so it can now pull the tender. Another fiddly job done are the washout plugs on the firebox. 26

In 1878 it would have been class 93s.
