justin1985
Is there any difference between the mouldings for the Farish 168 and the 170? I'm planning a repaint of a Farish 170 into Anglia "fading" green livery as an early 170/2, i.e. with the full front faring rather than the cut away "bufferbeam" and small snowplough. It appears that Farish have moulded both of these front end versions, but is there any actual moulded difference between the 3 car 170 with the full bufferbeam, and the 168/1 "Clubman" in Chiltern Livery? Looking at the models currently available, the London Midland model wouldn't be suitable as it has the smaller bufferbeam moulding. However the 3 car 168 is available very cheaply at the moment, and might provide a suitable donor ? Many thanks Justin
Clay Country
The 168/1 is essentially a Chitern spec Turbostar and externally they are identical to a 170.
