trisonic
Wow! 2010 Layout Challenge! A real rave from the grave them were the days. So much interesting stuff to re-read from them old back issues/archives. And a nice Box Cab too! Best, Pete.
shortliner
Sorry to drag this out of the ancient RMweb deeper dungeons again - but I came across another (and TBH Better) version on the Big Blue site - and I thought this version deserved some exposure . The guy who built it is an architecht by profession so it is rather nice. There are a few more photos of my version here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/25093-erie-rr-east-149th-street-%E2%80%9Charlem-station%E2%80%9D/ The vesion built by Mathieu Lachance is here http://www.harlem-station.blogspot.co.uk/
RMweb Premium Neil Posted November 28, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 28, 2015 It's a potential packed prototype whichever way you look at it. It appears as though the version by Mathieu Lachance has a bigger footprint than your own one Jack.
shortliner
Thanks, Neil - I believe Mathieu's version is intended to include the part that had the Major Degan Expressway built up over it and also the buildings that actually existed within the layout - these were apparently removed prior to any photos that I managed to find so that allowed me to squeeze it down a little smaller. Another constraint with mine was building it to a size that would fit through the rear hatch door of a Ford Sport Ka. so it could have the main board in one piece - It was tight, believe me! .All now gone with a boxcab having gone to Mathieu, and two of them now in Germany
