Hi JB, I would very much like to see this layout of yours in S7, as it might just tip me over the edge into Scale 7 land. Kindest Ian
Scale7JB
I'd very much like to see it too There are plenty of other things around here that will tip you over the edge into Scale 7... Take a look at www.buckjumper.co.uk I've always like the look of big engines shunting small freight trains, so that might be something of an influence I think.. JB. Adrian
I would very much like to see this layout of yours in S7, as it might just tip me over the edge into Scale 7 land. There might be another S7 entry if I can sort out a few details first.
Scale7JB
Hang on lads, I've got an idea... And it might be pretty spectacular if I can work out how to accurately measure the area of curved boards. I feel a youtube trigonometry tutorial coming on.. JB. Nortonian
Adrian, JB, I await in anticipation of both your entries as they will no doubt convince me, `or otherwise` the merits of 33mm gauge. P4 is one thing, but Scale 7, a much larger beast ! Ian
28ten
JB if you draw it in sketchup it will work out the area of any irregular shape without doing any maths !
Scale7JB
Thanks for that !! I shall have a good look... I'm trying to find a reason for why, in a colliery, an engine might detach from the front of it's train of wagons on an incline, and for another engine to come along and haul the train to a different location... hmmm JB. Scale7JB
Ahhhh, I've though of a reason... fear not... :icon_thumbsup2: JB.
28ten
If you are looking at a colliery I have 2 books on modelling the coal industry.
