RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted June 1, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 1, 2011 I seem to find that the sound is streaming, but the video is on "timelapse", several frames, stop, several frames etc. Is it just me? Hi, There's a lot of junk on the full page using up bandwidth. You may find you get better streaming on an embedded version. Try mine at: http://85a.co.uk/forum/view_post.php?post_id=9031 Click the loudspeaker icon to turn the sound on. regards, Martin.

RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted June 9, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 9, 2011 Hi all, Ok - Time to sing some praises... Since the coming of the Fostoria webcam I've learned more about how US Railroads operate then in the previous 20 years! Just being able to get the 'Look and Sound' of the trains makes a big difference. An example... Today i saw one train of particular note. So what was of note? 3 covered hoppers, all same type, all different colours but all with the same leasor - ACFX. ACFX is one of the reporting marks for General Electric Rail Services Corporation. Not only that.... I'm stunned by the number of SD40-2's that are still running around. Thanks
Erik Baas
For some unknown reason I can't see it anymore (since a couple of days already). The Flash-applet loads, but it displays no content at all (no picture, no sound). I tried using Firefox 4.0.1 and Opera 11.11. Could this be a bug in Flash 10.3.181.22 ?? BTW, I'm having the same problem with movies on http://www.zie.nl/ ... :-(

Just been to Flash and find a different 'New' Version of Flash is available. Will download and seee what happens. Thanks ps - If this still does not work..... Go to MartinWynns site at:- http://85a.co.uk/forum/view_topic.php?id=1446&forum_id=5&zoom_highlight=fostoria Works fine through there. CraigZ
Since swapping over to Ustream the chat there is clunky and slow...apparently due to my using Adblock Plus. When I turn off the Adblock it runs fine...but I get adverts. Feh.
Erik Baas
I still can't get it to work: installed newer Flash plugin, disabled flashblock and adblock, but nothing helps. The alternative link doesn't work for me either. :-(
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted June 19, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 19, 2011 New link for u with chat http://www.greatlakeslive.com/F-town_CAM_1.html U will love it!!! CSX & NS ALL THE WAY This one works fine for me, as does the Martin Wynne one, but the original link in the first posting still shows 'Off line'. Never mind, just seen a huge long freight come to a stand, and then begin to propel back somewhere!
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 20, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 20, 2011 At the moment there is a power outage in Fostoria. They hope to have the power back by 10 a.m. local time (3 p.m. BST) so it should be back up not long after.
Glorious NSE
Never mind, just seen a huge long freight come to a stand, and then begin to propel back somewhere! Probably put it in an occupied fiddle yard road...
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 21, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 21, 2011 For those who like to watch men at work they have started rebuilding the road crossing.

Erik Baas
Got it: when I paste "http://www.ustream.tv/flash/viewer.swf?cid=7773811&autoplay=True" ito the addressbar of my browser, it works again ! :-) So the problem is not in the Flash plugin, but has something to do with embedding. BTW: two trains now, one stopped ON the crossing with a nasty squeeking sound... ;-)
mason
Just thought i would check it out just to be nosey, first 5 mins 2 trains, im hooked Neil

RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted June 23, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 23, 2011 I've been watching this on and off for a while now and it's been as expected, CSX and NS. BUT, tonight (a few minutes ago) on the NS line (L to R) was a train with an NS and a UP loco (9166 - C40-8). Is it usual to see trains with two different company's locos? EDIT, the bubblegum smilie is meant to be an 8.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 23, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 23, 2011 You missed the pair of Canadian Pacific locos earlier. Watch out for the directors special coming through sometime next tuesday (28th). Between now and then they should have finished re laying the road crossing, when they have expect to see the track recording train.
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted June 23, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 23, 2011 Saw a 'coach' being propelled along the NS line (R to L, 2 locos) the other night. would this be the directors saloon?
