Ed-farms
I remember watching that show, but I also remember reading it was a con. The K&ESR had some of the truck laid already but they took it up for the show and they had lorries with ballast parked round the corner waiting the signal to move onto the site. Coppercap
I remember watching that show, but I also remember reading it was a con. The K&ESR had some of the truck laid already but they took it up for the show and they had lorries with ballast parked round the corner waiting the signal to move onto the site. Wasn't that pretty much how the whole series worked? Just about everything was blagged for free, builders just happened to be available to do work right now etc. and it was all rushed way too fast to be done properly (and it probably started to fall apart before it was even finished........) There's a new version these days............DIY SOS.
Bon Accord
I seem to remember she managed to build a bridge somewhere in the West Country. Not quite the sort of thing you could design, get planning permission for and knock up in a week!
Michael Delamar
hey! no bad words against the gorgeous Mrs Rice Im still 9 when I watch that, even though Ive noticed things about her I missed when I was younger. nearly all tv is fixed, at least it gave them some good publicity. Horsetan
I still have the original show on VHS tape. I seem to remember that the show's vehicle as used by Ms. Rice (where is she now?), based on a VW Beetle chassis, could be somewhat temperamental
-missy-
I seem to remember that the show's vehicle as used by Ms. Rice (where is she now?), based on a VW Beetle chassis, could be somewhat temperamental Its a Beach Buggy (a GP LWB to be precise) I only know that because I used to own one similar a few years back, it was the most fun car I have ever owned.
