RMweb Premium Flying Pig Posted April 27, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 27, 2011 I've just blundered across a thread on the Garden Railway Forum - here - showing the breathtaking work of RMwebber Ian Folland in 16mm scale. The down at heel industrial ambience is quite unlike most garden lines: I don't think I've ever seen live steam weathered like this before.
Pugsley
Wow, some great stuff on the links - you should put some more on here, I'm sure plenty of people would like to see it, me for one.

James Hilton
Ian thanks for sharing more photos - these are inspiring. I think my long term ambition is to start to take my years of 4mm weathering experience onto something in G, but it's a big jump in size, and as yet I've not worked out in my head how I'd go about it These photos have given me some ideas

-missy-
Hello Ian. I just has to add to the praise with regards to your stuff. That is probably the most realistic outdoor railway I have ever seen, absolutely fantastic! I would love to be able to recreate something like that oneday. Can I ask where the engines came from? I have always had an idea in the back of my brain to scratchbuild something similar to the little live steam engine but unfortunately its never got any further than that.
