Kenton
Not seen it mentioned yet (other than my post on the MRH202 thread) but it is only 5 days to go to the Reading Heavy Metal Fest otherwise known as ALSRM all details HERE This is not just a trade show (unlike the Autumn O Gauge Fair) and there are a number of quite good layouts in attendance. But of course there will be much trade of the 7mm and 10mm variety. The new Dia O&R steam railmotor kit on the Scorpio stand is expected to pull a crowd. I'll be attending the show in heavy disguise this year as I don't wish to be spotted by Chris from Dragon Models, but I expect to be parting company with some cash nevertheless. Beware the larger scales they are a form of temptation that is irresistible. If you are looking for N gauge stuff it will NOT be there
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted May 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 2, 2011 Always a good show in my experience and some different traders from the smaller scale norm can sometimes mean some excellent bargains for tools etc. And as Kenton has already said the show can boast some good - and frequently very interesting - layouts (which I can see without donning my specs).
