eastwestdivide
I've added a bunch from the Koblenz area, Rhine, Mosel and Lahn valleys at: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/album/2922-koblenz-area/ Sample shots: But I'd appreciate any more info on some unidentified blurry things in the distance: 1 2 3
EddieB
Blurry thing in the distance no. 2 carries NIAG livery (Niederrheinische Verkehrsbetriebe AG). Can't be sure, but looks to be their number 14, which was formerly SBB cargo 481 004. Hectorrail is a Swedish based company, blurry thing no. 3 looks like their class 241 (TRAXX F140AC2 from Bombardier). Last one (BT4) appears to be Veolia (now SNCF Fret Benelux) E37, i.e. Alstom Prima/SNCF 4370000 type. (It's at the bottom because you didn't "add to post" this image). The yellow one look like a former DR V100 (110 + variants, later DB 204 + variants) owned by one of the many track maintenance companies. I'm not up with current leasing fleets sufficiently even to stab at the last one.

eastwestdivide
Thanks for all the info EddieB and jonhall. See what you mean about "no 14" - they like their big numbers. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of fleets and colours that week. As we were being tourists most of the time, I missed more than I photographed, including a dark grey class 66 clone, a couple of motorail (Autozug) services, and who knows what else. (It's at the bottom because you didn't "add to post" this image). Thanks, but I did in fact "add to post" - twice, checked, previewed, then deleted and re-uploaded it, but it still wouldn't display in-line.
