Having Checked back to see if I hadn't answered this in the dim and distant past..

EM gauge, 26 May 1940, Ludgershall, Big Four, GWR, with the hope of backdating to1923 at the grouping and running that occasionally. (very long term project)

N gauge, 1963, 1923 grouping and 1948 British railways never happened, Fictional Highlands and Islands, Highland steam in olive green , with some diesel beginning to come in. Individual lines subsidised to stay open, new rolling stock bought in, local manufacture stopped..

In the early days of RMweb, the pre-group % was around 3%,

so as a pre-groupie, the present 9.5% is encouraging.

Probably, but how does one judge what proportion of the increase is down to more modellers going pre-group and how much to existing pre-group modellers joining RM Web?

Correlation or causation? :scratchhead:

10 years?
That's yesterday, at my age :)
.
In a social circle I attend on Wednesday nights (Think 'Legion Club', drinks, natter & chatter),
saying something along the lines of " ...  remember 50 years ago.." is not allowed,

but "... remember back in '69 .... Woodstock...." is OK :drink_mini:
