devonseasider
Just come across this thread, so thought I'd take up the invitation & post a couple of pictures. Details to follow (if anyone's interested) with a bit of background information, but for now I'll leave it as a "what?, when?, where?" guessing game. I'm sure it won't prove all that difficult! 45584
Hello Graham, It looks like Blackpool north shed although I never went there myself. I remember Nova Scotia very well and photographed the loco myself. Thanks for the post. Trevor
devonseasider
Hello Graham, It looks like Blackpool north shed although I never went there myself. I remember Nova Scotia very well and photographed the loco myself. Thanks for the post. Trevor Trevor - yes, you're right on both counts. Blackpool North and 45556 Nova Scotia. Date was 4th July 1964, loco having brought in an excursion. The other picture is 92119 at Blackpool Central on the same day, again having brought in an excursion. I believe this was a Leicester loco at that time, so that's probably an indication of where the train originated. I know the pictures aren't the best of quality, but I had thought there might have been a little more interest in them than this, seeing as there is a whole section of RMWeb devoted to trains of the north-west. From the lack of response, I'm assuming there's no point in scanning & posting the several hundred more I took around that area in the mid-sixties.
