RMweb Gold rodent279 Posted March 23, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) Similar cabins are used for commercial mobile phone installations, but tend to be used more on rooftops, or with the larger towers and poles. Most streetworks type sites use outdoor BTS cabinets, much smaller than cabins, just containing the equipment. Tangoman69
Cracking model of a GSM-R installation, great detailing and judging from some of Martin’s photos, it’s been accurately portrayed. https://3dprintingcorner.co.uk/product/176-gsm-r-mast/ Karl

Something like 50-odd commercial sites have had some form of vandalism, and there have been numerous incidents of staff being physically and verbally abused.

25901
And before anyone says anything, "Yes" the roof is wrong, should be flat but that will get sorted.
Tangoman69
Sorry for going off topic a bit. We’re getting close to 100 sites being targeted by arsonists across the 4 major networks, along with mindless idiots confronting engineers providing vital comms for the emergency services and those working from home. We had the same with 2G, 3G & 4G, but there is so much more social media these days to spread the word. Karl
RMweb Gold rodent279 Posted May 11, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 11, 2020 There has been a tongue in cheek suggestion amongst my colleagues that we bar network access to everyone, except for 112/999 calls.
