Trainman119
Does anyone know where I can find a set of 00 scale drawings of the Hunslet 50550 Class Locomotive?? I understand from an article in Railway Modeller, November 2000 that there a set of scale drawings in one of the railway modelling magazines prior to 2000? I've started converting a Hornby J94 and need to know where to place the new rain guards on the cab roof. THANK YOU for any help you can provide. Porcy Mane
Can't remember if there was a drawing: but articles on the 50550 appeared in the Aug. & Sept. 2001 issues of Railway Bylines. There's also a phot (And a part 4mm scale drawing,) in the Nov-Dec 1993 issue of Modelling Railways illustrated but the rainstrip appears similar to other Austerity/j94 tanks. HTH Porcy Ps if your looking for back issues you can't do better than the Vintage Carriage Trusts back issue "warehouse" @ Ingrow. See: Back Issues store Usual disclaimer applies... halfwit
'Modelling Railways Illustrated' Vol.1 No.2 Nov.-Dec. 1993 has drawings of the J94-Austerity's which includes drawings of the detail differences between those and the 50550 class. Worth seeking out.
