There are four new Oxford Automobile 1:76 bodies planned Vauxhall Astra, Volvo Amazon, Rover P4 and a Nissan Qashqai. We continue to try and offer items across eras to accommodate the needs of the railway modellers.

The Transit MK1 joins the range and at last we see something on the Massey Fergsuon tractors, there are three items that have dogged me – the Massey, the Land Rover Carmichael and the Transit Connect. Sometimes the toolmaking goes wrong, but I have finally got to grips with them all - third time lucky for the Massey. Benny Burger is great friend of mine, in his spare time he does reviews for the Model Collector......

Taff also added:

"You may have seen some of the new shapes at the odd show we have attended over the last few months. I get regular emails on the N scale suggesting that we are not producing enough. The market is smaller than the other scales, so our decision making is driven by the commercial realities. Our investment in the range continues and by the year end we will have released over 275 items in this range."

One interesting little gem Taff posted was that this month starts discussions on what will form the new releases for the 2017 model year, and that all this year's announcements are either en route in a container, in production or awaiting confirmation of licencing details before release.

Pity Oxford can't take over Bachmann with that degree of project planning and delivery.

Thank you for the n scale list

I do wish they would do a larger range of cars such as an Austin / Morris 1100/1300, Any Cortina, Viva, Marina etc such as they do in the 1/76 range

Taff also pointed out on Facebook that often the licensing will only cover a specific scale and further negotiations are often neccessary.

Andrew, if you want a British Steel Corporation lorry, EFE do a very nice AEC in 4mm scale

It's not a modern lorry though, 1960's and 1970's.

There are some obvious gaps in the range and what can be produced depends on licencing arrangements. This is why all of the current Land Rover/Jaguar are available but nothing from Rolls Royce or JCB. There is a demand for cars such as the SD1, its one of the most frequently asked for models on the 'wishlist' page on Facebook so we might be lucky. On the subject of licencing some makers are notorious for charging exorbitant fees for a licence to produce a model which means that companies such as Oxford cant justify the cost.
