I think, OO gaugeJaf, that the 2 October announcement covers their vehicle catalogue - Oxford Rail seems to be treated separately. Anyway, wouldn't you imagine that if they have any new rail products, the time to annoumce them will be at Warley, which is not now far away (28 and 29 November)?

He also added "The information on this release (Q3/2015 October-January 2016) will be made available to the trade later this weekend, so this is an advanced preview of the liveries and tooling planned. Plus a chance to get updated on the information for unreleased products that have already been announced. Every item on this listing has already been tooled and we have either pre-production shots, or final production shots. The entire programme for 2016 is well advanced in tooling, much of which is not listed here.

I also advise that the entire programme for 2017 was signed off in July and designing/planning has already commenced. The catalogues for this Q3 release will release in a few weeks’ time."

So these items should come to market as per the dates quoted.

Still waiting for 1:76 announcements...

For those who want to have a nice 1930s aerodrome to sit alongside all those Hornby kettles...

"72nd Scale

The Airspeed Oxford joins the History of flight range

1:72 History of Flight

72AO001 Airspeed Oxford MP425/G-AITB (RAF Museum Hendon) Q2/2016

72COM004 DH88 Comet K5084 RAF Martlesham Q1/2016

72DR011 DH Dragon Rapide ZK-AHS -Mokai- NAC Q1/2016

72DR012 DH Dragon Rapide G-AHAG Scillonia Airways Q1/2016

72DV002 DH Sea Devon 781 Sqn. RNAS Admirals Barge Q1/2016

72PM006 DH Puss Moth CF-APK Bert Hinkler Q1/2016

72PP002 Percival Proctor MKIV RM221 - RAF Radio Trainer Q1/2016"

I must admit I do quite fancy doing a plank to plank using third rail 2-BIL units and later third rail units to model a fictional Southern branch serving a Shoreham style aerodrome through from the 1930s until the 1970s. The Oxford DH Rapide would be bob-on for that.

Buses. The Bristol MW6G is the second design of ECW coach body, with curved windscreens, stepped waistrail and side opening vents which was delivered between the original style LS type body (as modelled by EFE) and the last style of body with forced air ventilation and fixed side windows. The Midland Red PD2 appears to be based on one of the highbridge Titans taken over by Midland Red with the Kemp and Shaw company of Leicestershire, not the LD8.

That appears to be it for now. Some interesting stuff there, especially the 80s cars which will be most useful. Plenty of images over on Facebook if you want to see what appear to be quite advanced in the production cycle, including some first castings.

Also the CAD drawings of the Ford Galaxy shows the tailgate as a separate item from the rest of the body casting but incorporated into the glazing, it looks as if it either might be opening or very easily modified into the open position.
