OMG does anyone have a proper modelling bargain to post. lol

Scraping the bottom of the bargain barrel, I've managed to find that Hornby wheels are still less than £7 per pack on Amazon.

Free delivery with Prime.

Single digit quantities left on each.

There around £12 with the usual box shifters.

I've ordered more than I need currently, as I'm not sure there going to be as cheap in the future.

Thanks for that one, 2 packs of coach wheels on their way to me now. Should get the H26 up and running by the weekend!

Posted this in the Hornby forum and the general opinion is that they are a bargain.

Subject line: Hornby coaches R4708,9,10

These are going for £16 at Hattons and I'm sorely tempted. Are there any reviews of these coaches?

TIA

I have got a large number of these coaches, some of which I picked up for a tenner each (maroon ones) when Hornby were selling them off. For the price they are good value, to my mind the livery is not quite as well applied as the Bachmanns and they have moulded end handrails. But all in all a cheap way to form up large rakes of coaches without breaking the bank. Mine were the Railroad version and had plastic wheels, these seem to have metal.

At this price, basically Hattons are selling the normal version at a pound less than the railroad variant. There are a number of liveries available too.

It is a sign of the times that these prices are about what I paid for the Bachmann Mk1 when they first came out. Not any longer.

Did you try Coastal Dcc for NCE stuff.

Best prices I've found on the net & super service as well.

No connection with them just a happy customer.

9 quid dearer and they don't have any anyhow

I see that.

That's an excellent price from Hattons.
