However I don't have a N16* and was pondering the BR version. brossard Posted October 18, 2020 Share Posted October 18, 2020 The Hornby horse box is a silk purse compared to the Lima pig's ear. There would be a lot of work to do underframe wise to get the Lima box anywhere near the Hornby model - assuming the body is accurate. The roof obviously needs attention too. It would make a great project. From what I can tell the Lima "model" is the same diagram as the Hornby offering, notwithstanding the "LMS". The roof apparently came from a misreading of the drawing. Roche I think. On the drawing it looks like there was loads of perturbances, but they are where the ventilators and lighting were. I'm away from my Russell volume at the moment. Russell's "Brown Vehicles" doesn't list numbers only lots for N13, however "Coaches Vol.2" does but they are random and don't follow a sequence.
