James Hilton Posted July 26, 2011 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Yesterday I spent a very enjoyable few hours with Bruce and Gillian on the HDLR. The 'excuse' was dropping off the round robin box car, but actually I'd wanted to visit and see his Austrian stock as it has been an inspiration for many months. Anyway seeing the Regner 399 run was a hi-light for me, it is a beautiful model although it sounds like it has taken Bruce a lot of work to get it running as it does today. Also great to put my Frank S conversion next to Bruce's 798.03, and give it a decent run - a good length line. The afternoon flew by with chat about the Steyrtalbahn and Austrian narrow gauge signalling - fuelled by a steady supply of coffee and cake! I hope to visit again in the future.
